South Korean actor and former member of boy group SF9, Rowoon, will begin his mandatory military service in July 21, 2025. The news was first reported by South Korean media outlet MyDaily on Monday, May 27, 2025.
Shortly after the report emerged, FNC Entertainment gave an official confirmation. "It is true that Rowoon will be enlisting on July 21, 2025," the agency said as quoted by Soompi on Monday, May 27, 2025.“
He will enter the training center and fulfill his military duties as an active soldier in the Army,” agency continued. Rowoon began his entertainment career in 2016 as a member of the idol group SF9. After officially leaving the group in 2023, he began to focus on his career as an actor.
He made his acting debut through the drama School 2017, and his popularity skyrocketed thanks to his role in the series Extraordinary You. Ahead of his departure to the military camp, Rowoon will hold a special fan meeting titled “Before Blooming” on May 31, 2025, at Kwangwoon University, Seoul.
