Cube Entertainment officially announced that their rookie group, NOWADAYS, has now changed its name to NOWZ. On June 2, 2025 at midnight KST, the agency uploaded NOWZ's motion logo on its social media accounts. The name change marks NOWZ's rebranding after a year of debut.
The group consisting of five members: Hyeonbin, Yoon, Yeonwoo, Jinhyuk, and Siyun is determined to strengthen their identity and show new potential as a group that will become a trendsetter in the K-pop music industry.
The name NOWZ combines the word “NOW” which means now, with the letter “Z” which symbolizes infinite possibilities and new beginnings. With the motto “Drawing infinite possibilities in the present”.
NOWZ promises to present fresher music and concepts, breaking conventional rules, and emphasizing their distinctive musical color. NOWZ debuted in April 2024 with their first single titled NOWADAYS. Since then, they have shown their typical rookie passion and energy through various activities.
This name change is reminiscent of their seniors at Cube Entertainment, (G)I-DLE’s rebranding, which dropped the “(G)” from their group name. Now, NOWZ is ready to carve out a new journey with a stronger identity.
