Fantagio agency officially announced that South Korean boy group ASTRO member Park Jin-woo, better known by his stage name Jinjin has been exempted from military service due to health conditions.
In an official statement released on June 2, 2025, Fantagio explained, "JinJin underwent a comprehensive physical examination by the Korean Military Manpower Administration regarding health conditions related to autoimmune diseases.
Based on the results of the examination, it was determined that JinJin is unable to serve in the military." The agency continued, "Although his health condition does not interfere with his daily life, JinJin requires regular visits to the hospital for examinations and treatment."
"Based on medical considerations, activities in a special environment such as military service were deemed too strenuous for him, so he was granted exemption from military service."
The agency is committed to supporting JinJin so that he can continue his activities as an ASTRO member in optimal condition. "We express our gratitude for the continuous support from fans and ask for your attention and support for JinJin's future activities," Fantagio wrote in its statement.
