South Korean model and actor Byeon Woo Seok has been officially cast as the lead actor in the latest Netflix series, 'Solo Leveling', which is adapted from the popular webtoon and webnovel of the same title.
This series tells the journey of Sung Jin Woo, an E-class “Hunter” known as the weakest, until he finally wakes up from the brink of death and evolves into the “strongest Hunter” to save the world from the threat of monsters behind the inter-dimensional gate.
'Solo Leveling' is a phenomenal global IP, with a total of 14.3 billion views globally since its initial release on KakaoPage. Even more impressive, the animated adaptation swept all nine major categories at the 2025 Crunchyroll Awards, including Anime of the Year, Best Action, and Best Character, making it the first Korean animation to achieve such a feat.
