Former Wanna One member Yoon Ji Sung is set to star in the upcoming BL drama, Thunder Cloud Rain Storm. As reported by EDaily on July 5, 2025, Yoon Jisung has been offered a starring role in the Korean drama 'Thunder Cloud Rainstorm'.
The series is based on a popular novel and webtoon of the same name, which was a hit with readers, earning a high rating of 4.8 out of 5. In the drama, Yoon Ji Sung will play Lee Il Jo, a young man who has fallen on hard times with no savings or a job.
The story begins when the main character, Seo Jeong Han, reunites with his long-lost cousin Il Jo at their uncle’s funeral. Taking pity on his impoverished relative, Jeong Han suggests they live together, setting the stage for their story to unfold.
Yoon Ji Sung first rose to fame in 2017 as a member and leader of the wildly popular group Wanna One, formed on the competition show Produce 101 Season 2. After the group disbanded, he launched a successful solo music career.
He made his official acting debut in the 2021 K-drama Let Me Be Your Knight and has been active in musical theater, with roles in productions like Something Rotten! and The Days. Thunder Cloud Rain Storm is currently filming and is expected to be released later this year.
