BLACKPINK's Lisa won another award at the 2025 MTV Video Music Awards (MTV VMA) held at the UBS Arena, New York, United States, on Sunday September 7, 2025.
BLACKPINK's Lisa was crowned the winner of the Best K-Pop category for her hit collaboration, 'Born Again', which features American rapper Doja Cat and British singer-songwriter Raye.
This win makes Lisa the first solo artist to win the award in the Best K-Pop category three times, previously for 'LALISA' in 2022 and 'Rockstar' in 2024. Unfortunately, Lisa couldn't attend the grand event in person.
However, she still expressed her gratitude through a pre-prepared video message. In her virtual speech, Lisa said, "I am truly honored to receive this award. Thank you to the organizers.
I would also like to thank Doja Cat and Raye for collaborating on this special music. And last but not least, the production team that helped me is also to be thanked."
She continued emotionally, "Without the support of the fans, I wouldn't be able to do anything. Thank you so much to the global fans who always support me!"
Not only Lisa, all BLACKPINK members – including Rosé, Jennie, and Jisoo – are also nominated in the Best K-Pop category, demonstrating their immense global popularity. Rosé is competing with her solo song "Toxic to the End," Jennie with "Like Jennie," and Jisoo with "Earthquake."
