BLACKPINK's Rosé successfully lifted the prestigious trophy at the 2025 MTV Video Music Awards (VMA). She won the main category of Song of the Year thanks to her hit duet with Bruno Mars, APT.'
This marks a new milestone as it is the first time a K-pop artist has won this award at the prestigious event held in the United States.
The event, held on September 7, 2025 local time at the UBS Arena in New York, provided a grand stage for Rosé. Wearing a stunning gold gown, she took the stage, filled with emotion.
"I can't believe this is real," Rosé said as she accepted her trophy. She continued to express her deep gratitude to Bruno Mars, saying, "The first person to believe in me and help me, Bruno, thank you so much."
Rosé also added that this moment was "a reward for all the effort I've put in, and I'm so happy to receive it." During her warm welcome, Rosé briefly switched to Korean to greet those closest to her.
With a big smile, she said, "Teddy oppa, I won! BLACKPINK members, I won! Thank you always and I love you all." This year, Rosé is in the spotlight with nominations in eight VMA categories.
