The Korean drama " Confidence Queen," starring Park Min Young, will soon premiere. This drama marks Park Min Young's comeback project after last year's "Marry My Husband ."
Confidence Queen is an adaptation of the Japanese series The Confidence Man JP which aired in 2018 on Fuji TV. The series tells the story of a group of master con artists who usually cheat rich people from evil to mafia bosses.
The story follows three master con artists who devise clever and creative schemes to exploit greedy criminals, such as the mafia, corruptors, and corporate elites through stylish revenge and witty humor.
The three con artists are Yoon Yi Rang, James, and Myung Gu Ho. Yoon Yi Rang, played by Park Min Young, is the team leader, a brilliant con artist with an IQ of 165. He has a background as a conglomerate's son, is charismatic, and has a brilliant intelligence for strategizing.
James, played by Park Hee Soon, is a humorous and wise senior con artist. Myung Gu Ho, played by Joo Jung Hyuk, is the youngest member. He's cheerful and impulsive, but possesses sharp instincts and a burning passion.
The three of them are tasked with carrying out a mission to trap criminals through a unique scheme. The drama is directed by Nam Ki-Hoon, director of Big Bet, Destined With You, and Kiss Sixth Sense , along with screenwriter Hong Seung Hyun who previously wrote Criminal Minds.
Confidence Queen premieres on Saturday September 6, 2025, every Saturday and Sunday at 9:10 PM KST or 7:10 PM WIB on TV Chosun and Coupang Play. Prime Video broadcasts to more than 240 countries.
