Jeon Somi is preparing to try her hand at acting for the first time. Her agency THEBLACKLABEL announced on Thursday September 4, 2025 that Somi will be starring in the K-Pop thriller film 'Perfect Girl'.
Directed by Hong Won Ki of Johnny Bros., with production by Badlands and Thunder Road Films, 'Perfect Girl' tells the story of the fierce competition in the K-Pop world and the struggles of trainees.
The film is scheduled to begin filming in October. Somi will star opposite actress and model Adeline Rudolph and Arden Cho, who is best known for voicing Rumi in "KPop Demon Hunters" and also served as a co-producer for "Perfect Girl."
Somi's acting debut in this serious drama has garnered much attention, with many curious about her role and her transformation as an actress. High expectations surround Somi's new foray into the film industry.
Previously, on August 11, 2025, Somi released her second mini-album, 'Chaotic & Confused,' featuring the title track 'CLOSER.' This album showcases a more mature side of Somi, differing from her usual cheerful and energetic image. Her new look received an enthusiastic response from K-Pop fans.
