Indonesian boy group UN1TY surprised fans with their disbandment announcement. On Wednesday (September 17, 2025), UN1TY, which previously consisted of five members: Shandy, Fenly, Fajri, Zweitson, and Fiki, uploaded a video announcement via their official social media accounts.
In the uploaded video, UN1TY said goodbye to their fans and said that UN1TY would end their career journey after 6 years, since their debut in 2019. UN1TY's farewell video to fans was also only attended by 4 members, without member Fenly who was announced in the video to have left the group since July this year.
One of the reasons UN1TY decided to disband was a promise made by the members last year. UN1TY stated that if any member left, the group's journey would cease. "Last year we made a promise. If even one member left, UN1TY's journey would no longer be possible. In July 2025, Fenly decided to go it alone and no longer be a part of UN1TY.
With a heavy heart, UN1TY's journey must end here," said UN1TY in their farewell video. In addition to the departure of member Fenly, which was the main reason UN1TY decided to disband, the agency that oversees the boy group, Kapital Entertainment, will also no longer operate starting in July 2025.
In addition to saying goodbye to fans, UN1TY is also scheduled to hold a farewell concert entitled 'Until Next Time' which will be held on November 9, 2025. This farewell concert not only featured UN1TY, but also the girl group V1RST who also announced that they would be taking a break and starting their respective career journeys following the closure of their agency, Kapital Entertainment.
In response to this announcement, many fans expressed their disappointment, particularly towards member Fenly, who didn't say goodbye to fans after leaving the group. Although Kapital Entertainment is no longer operating, fans hoped that UN1TY could at least continue their career as a group if one of the members didn't leave.
