A woman from Minnesota, United States, suddenly went viral after her mugshot circulated on social media. Not only was she accused of theft, but her face, named Cyrena Anne Quast, was also said to be strikingly similar to Jennifer Lopez.
The 35-year-old woman was arrested on August 30, 2026, in Monticello, Minnesota. She is suspected of stealing two packages containing power tool batteries worth approximately US$580.
According to a report from The Watch MN, a store employee recognized Quast because he was allegedly involved in a theft at the same location two days earlier. Police were then called to the scene.
Quast reportedly admitted to taking the battery, but the case has garnered a different kind of attention. Quast's arrest photo, released by the Wright County Sheriff's Office, immediately attracted attention after netizens noticed her resemblance to Jennifer Lopez.
Some netizens even admitted to thinking the photo was of J.Lo. The resemblance also led netizens to associate it with Jennifer Lopez's popular song, "Jenny from the Block." One widely shared joke referred to Quast as "Jenny from D-Block," a play on the song's title.
The nickname spread when Quast's mugshot was reshared on various social media platforms. Quast himself was reportedly released the day after his arrest. The battery theft case wasn't Quast's first run-in with the law.
Public arrest records show several previous convictions, including charges related to drug possession, drunk driving, fleeing police, theft, and providing false identification.
