Vivo announced the first smartphones of the V20 Series – the Vivo V20 and V20 Pro. The two devices will be followed by an SE version, set to be announced on September 24.
The Vivo V20 isn’t anything out of the ordinary, the company only revealing a few details about the device. The new V20 will run on a Snapdragon 720G SoC, pack a 64MP triple camera and a 44MP selfie camera, and will be powered by a 4,000 mAh battery with 33W fast charging support.
The announcement focused more on the Vivo V20 Pro, on the other hand, which does have some pretty interesting specs. The more premium version is powered by the Snapdragon 765G SoC, boots Android 10-based Funtouch OS 11, and has 8GB RAM and 128GB storage onboard.
The Vivo V20 Pro has a 6.44″ FullHD+ AMOLED display that has a fingerprint underneath and a notch up top for the dual camera setup – a 44MP main unit with Eye Autofocus and an 8MP ultrawide module.
The back of the smartphone comes with AG Matte Glass, which is scratch-resistant and is less prone to fingerprints. The main camera setup is comprised of a 64MP primary, 8MP ultrawide, and 2MP monochrome module.
The cameras on the Vivo V20 Pro includes some exciting features like Super Night Mode, Tripod Mode, Motion Autofocus, 3D SoundTracking, Dual-View Video, Portrait Video, and 240 FPS Slo-Mo Selfie Video. Like the base variant, the V20 Pro is fueled by a 4,000 mAh battery that charges at up to 33W.
The Vivo V20 Pro is available in Sunset Melody, Midnight Jazz, and Moonlight Sonata colors. The device goes on sale in Thailand on September 30 and will be priced at THB14,999 ($480/€405). The availability and price for the V20 base version are yet to be announced.
