Huawei has announced the Mate 40E as the latest model in the Mate 40 series. The new smartphone comes as a slightly tweaked variant of the Mate 40 that was launched last year.
The Huawei Mate 40E comes with a 6.50-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 1080x2376 pixels and an aspect ratio of 19.8:9. The phone measures 158.60 x 72.50 x 8.80mm (height x width x thickness) and weighs 188.00 grams.
The Huawei Mate 40E runs on Android 10 operating system. The phone is powered by a 1.95GHz octa-core HiSilicon Kirin 990E processor that features 2 cores clocked at 2.86GHz, 2 cores clocked at 2.36GHz and 4 cores clocked at 1.95GHz. The smartphone comes with 8GB of RAM and is powered by a 4200mAh battery. The smartphone supports wireless charging, as well as proprietary fast charging.
The Huawei Mate 40E on the rear packs a 48-megapixel primary camera with an f/1.9 aperture; a second 16-megapixel camera with an f/2.2 aperture, and a third 8-megapixel camera with an f/2.4 aperture. The rear camera setup has autofocus. It sports a 13-megapixel camera on the front for selfies with an f/2.4 aperture.
The Huawei Mate 40E runs EMUI 11.0 is based on Android 10 operating system and packs 128GB of inbuilt storage. The Huawei Mate 40E is a dual-SIM (GSM and GSM) smartphone that accepts Nano-SIM and Nano-SIM cards.
Connectivity options on the Huawei Mate 40E smartphone include Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/Yes, GPS, Bluetooth v5.20, NFC, Infrared, USB Type-C, 3G, and 4G (with support for Band 40 used by some LTE networks).
Sensors on the Huawei Mate 40E include accelerometer, ambient light sensor, compass/ magnetometer, gyroscope, proximity sensor, and in-display fingerprint sensor. It was launched in Bright Black, Glaze White, and Secret Silver colours.
