Realme's latest affordable smartphone, called the Narzo 50, will go on sale in India today at 12pm. It starts at Rs. 12,999 for the 4GB/64GB model. To recall, the handset was launched on February 24. It will be up for grabs via Realme.com, Amazon India, and retail stores. Buyers can avail a discount of Rs. 1,000 through HDFC Bank credit and debit cards.
The Narzo 50 is the latest addition to Realme's portfolio of pocket-friendly smartphones. Loaded with features such as a Dynamic RAM expansion, 120Hz display, and SuperDart fast charging, it is expected to make an impression on the Indian crowd. With the competition in the budget segment heating up, it needs to be seen how the Narzo 50 will fare against its rivals.
The Realme Narzo 50 packs a 6.6-inch Full-HD+ (1080x2400 pixels) IPS LCD display with a 120Hz refresh rate and 600-nits of peak brightness. The smartphone sports a punch-hole cut-out on the top-left corner, a prominent bottom bezel, and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. On the rear, it has a rectangular camera unit.
Under the hood, the Realme Narzo 50 is fueled by a MediaTek Helio G96 chipset, paired with up to 6GB of RAM and up to 128GB of internal storage. It packs a 5,000mAh battery with 33W fast-charging support. For connectivity, the smartphone offers support for dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, 4G, and a Type-C port.
As far as the cameras are concerned, the Realme Narzo 50 sports a triple rear camera setup, comprising a 50MP primary sensor, a 2MP macro snapper, and a 2MP portrait lens. Up front, it has a 16MP selfie shooter. On the front software, it boots Android 11-based Realme UI 2.0 OS out of the box.
For pricing and availability, Realme Narzo 50 carries a price-tag of Rs. 12,999 for the 4GB/64GB model and Rs. 15,499 for the 6GB/128GB variant. The smartphone is offered in Speed Black and Speed Blue color options. It will be for grabs from 12pm onward via Realme.com, Amazon, and retail outlets. HDFC Bank card users can avail a discount of Rs. 1,000.
