Lisa is once again showing off her skills with SaWaDiKa. After charting on the Billboard Hot 100 last month, the BLACKPINK member's first single from her album, "PRESS PLAY," has now broken the YouTube record for 2026.
The MV SaWaDiKa was crowned as the first K-Pop artist's Music Video to reach 200 million views on YouTube in 2026. Lisa achieved this feat within 34 days of the official release of the music video.
As of Thursday afternoon (October 8, 2026), the music video for "SaWaDiKa" had been viewed 200,351,106 times. The video is also still trending globally in YouTube's Top Music Video category.
The SaWaDiKa Music Video is made very aesthetically pleasing with neat framing and rapidly changing angles. Several shots show the play of light and shadow, adding to the artsy impression of the video.
The video was directed by Bang Jae Yeob of Bangjaeyeob Film. The same director also previously directed the music videos for aespa's "LEMONADE," IVE's "BANG BANG," NCT127's "Gimme Gimme," and Stray Kids' "God's Menu."
The SaWaDiKa music video, shot in Bangkok, Thailand, also features several permanent art installations at the DIB Museum in Bangkok. The first piece, by James Turrell, can be seen at the beginning of the video, where Lisa sings the song's hook while seated among dancers in black costumes.
The second artwork Lisa featured in the SaWaDiKa music video is Alicja Kwade's "Pars Pro Toto." The artwork features a number of spheres (usually eight or twelve) of varying sizes and colors, designed to resemble the planets of the solar system.
Lalisa Manobal also showcases many aspects of Bangkok and Thai elements in the SaWaDiKa music video. Besides the song's distinctly Thai title (meaning "hello" in the local language), Lisa also showcases tuktuk and Muay Thai. Lisa will release the EP PRESS PLAY on October 23, 2026.
