POCO has started releasing a new Android 12-based MIUI 13 update for its F3 GT device in India. According to the changelog, the firmware brings features such as Atomized Memory to manage RAM, Smart Balance to maintain a balance between power consumption and performance, Sidebar apps for quick access, Focused algorithms to dynamically allocate system resources, and Liquid Storage to manage system-level files.

The POCO F3 GT smartphone was launched last year in July 2021 with Android 11-based MIUI 12.5. Now, the company has announced the Android 12-based MIUI 13 update for the device in India after several queries from users. To recall, the POCO F3 GT handset is a rebranded version of the Redmi K40 Enhanced Gaming edition.

The POCO F3 GT flaunts a 6.67-inch Full-HD+ (1080x2400 pixels) AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, a 480Hz touch sampling rate, and 1300-nits of peak brightness The smartphone has a punch-hole cut-out on the top center with slim bezels and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. It has an IP53-rated build quality and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection for the display.

As far as the cameras are concerned, the POCO F3 GT features a triple rear camera setup comprising a 64MP (f/1.7) primary sensor, an 8MP (f/2.2) ultra-wide lens, and a 2MP (f/2.4) macro snapper. On the front, it offers a 16MP snapper for taking selfies and video calls. The smartphone houses a 5,065mAh battery with 67W fast-charging support. 

Everything to know about the update. The Android 12 update for the POCO F3 GT smartphone in India carries version number 13.0.1.0.SKJINXM and weighs 3.2GB in size. Users can check for the firmware via Settings > About phone > MIUI version.

Under the hood, the POCO F3 GT smartphone is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 1200 chipset, paired with up to 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage. At the heart, it is now upgradeable to Android 12-based MIUI 13. For connectivity options, it offers Bluetooth 5.1, Wi-Fi 6, 5G, NFC, GPS, 5G, and a Type-C port.
