Motorola Moto G42 was announced in India as the new budget 4G smartphone from the Chinese Tech Company. Although, the handset was already revealed in Brazil earlier last month. As for the key highlights, the handset comes with a punch-hole OLED display, Qualcomm’s 600 series SoC, triple rear camera, stereo speakers, and more.
Motorola Moto G42 flaunts a 6.4 inches AMOLED display with Full-HD+ ( 1080 x 2400 pixels ) resolution, 90.9% screen-to-body ratio, 20:9 aspect ratio, and 409 PPI pixel density. Under the hood, the handset is equipped with a Snapdragon 680 octa-core chipset that comes coupled with Adreno 610 GPU. It is paired with 4GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 64GB of uMCP internal storage with up to a 1TB microSD card slot.
In terms of camera, the Motorola Moto G42 boasts a triple camera at the back that includes a 50-megapixel main sensor with f/1.8 aperture, an 8-megapixel ultrawide & portrait lens with f/2.2 aperture, and a 2-megapixel macro sensor. For selfies and video calls, the handset sports a 16-megapixel front-facing camera under the punch-hole at the top center.
The Motorola Moto G42 is backed by a 5000mah battery and supports 20W turbo charging. The smartphone comes running on Android 12 OS out of the box, dual stereo speakers, and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. . For connectivity options, the handset includes 4G LTE, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC, Wi-Fi 5, GPS, and a USB Type-C port. Additionally, the device has dimensions of 160.61 x 73.47 x 8.26mm and weighs 174.5 grams.
For official pricing and availability, Motorola Moto G42 comes with a price tag of Rs. 13,999 and the company has provided a Rs. 1000 instant discount for SBI credit card users for a limited time. The smartphone comes in Metallic Rose, and Atlantic Green colour options. Although, the handset will go for sale on July 11 via online retail company Flipkart.
