SEVENTEEN's Joshua vented to fans about his recent journey where every second gave him a new (unfortunately, less pleasant!) surprise. Recently, SEVENTEEN members Seungkwan, Jun, The8, and Joshua held a live broadcast to communicate with fans via Weverse after they wrapped up their concert in Bangkok, Thailand.
On that day, Joshua shared that he recently traveled abroad with his mother and that there were so many ups and downs when he went on the trip. Joshua said he initially planned to go on an impromptu trip with his mother as he had some rare days off, so he personally booked hotels and plane tickets to Danang, Vietnam for him and his mother.
He explained that it was his first time traveling abroad together, so Joshua was excited when he arrived at the airport on the day of departure. However, things started to get worse when airport officials asked him for an E-Visa. Joshua realized that he made a mistake because he researched about the visa conditions in Korean which of course is for Korean citizenship, while he and his mother have United States citizenship.
“So I lost all KRW 3.5 million on hotel and plane tickets,” he said. Although very desperate, he hastily booked the earliest flight ticket to Manila, Philippines, because he was too sad to go home. However, the trip to Manila was also not smooth. Because he was in such a hurry, he didn't even have time to exchange cash into local currency and board the plane. When he arrived, he tried 7 different ATMs and none of them allowed him to withdraw money.
He then took a taxi (which also didn't accept credit cards) and was tricked by the taxi driver instead. And after a long and tiring day, he finally went to a restaurant that looked clean and decent. But it turned out that the food tasted very bad, and he ended up leaving a lot of it before leaving. Joshua closed the story by thanking his agency employees who always checked everything for him and SEVENTEEN when they went overseas.
