The People's Choice Awards were recently held in Santa Monica, California. BTS won another trophy at the international music award event. RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook bagged 3 trophies after winning in three categories. BTS was declared the winner in the categories of The Group of 2022, The Concert Tour of 2022, and The Collaboration of 2022.
Through this victory, BTS again broke a new record after winning the Group of the Year category for 3 consecutive years. While the category of The Concert Tour of 2022 was won through the Permission to Dance on Stage world tour. As of early December 2022, BTS is the only artist to reach 2 Billboard Top 5 Boxscores of 2022.
Boxscores are scores that summarize all performances performed by a musician or group of musicians in one place while on tour. According to Boxscores data, the Permission to Dance on Stage concert which was held from Seoul to Los Angeles and Las Vegas managed to gather more than 458 thousand spectators. This figure was achieved only by holding 11 concerts.
Meanwhile, the song Left and Right won for the The Collaboration of 2022 category. The song is a collaboration between Charlie Puth and Jungkook BTS. The song entered the Billboard Global 200 chart and is in position 106. Left and Right is also included in the Digital Song Sales chart and occupies position 30. Congratulations to BTS !
Meanwhile, BTS members are currently busy with individual projects. J-Hope became the first member to release an official solo album titled Jack in the Box. Followed later by Jin, who will undergo military service, by releasing The Astronaut. RM is the third member to release a solo album through Indigo.
