BTS's Jin will be enlisting in the military in the near future. He also cut his hair short in preparation for leaving for his obligations. This was revealed by Jin through a post uploaded on Weverse. He uploaded a selfie smiling at the camera in a state of cropped hair. "Hehehehehe turned out to be cuter than I thought," Jin wrote in his photo caption.

Jin's post sparked mixed reactions from ARMY. The hashtags #farewelljin (see you soon Jin) to #welovejin (we love Jin) filled the trending topics on Twitter. Shortly after, BIGHIT Music, as management, released an additional statement regarding the details of the BTS member's military service. BIGHIT Music said that Jin will be enlisting as an active soldier.

However, they still did not reveal exactly when the oldest BTS member would undergo training. "Jin will undergo military service as an active soldier. As we announced earlier, there is no delivery event on the day Jin enters the training location," said BIGHIT Music. "On that day, the location will certainly be filled with soldiers who will be undergoing military service, their families and a number of fans.

So we hope the media will not visit the location," he continued. BIGHIT Music also said that Jin would immediately enter the training location without greeting the fans and the media. This was done to prevent unwanted things from happening. "In order to prevent accidents caused by traffic jams at the location, Jin will enter the training center by driving a car without greeting the media or fans separately," explained BIGHIT Music.

"Therefore, we ask for the media's understanding that there is no separate waiting room. The agency will continue to provide support until the day Jin completes his mandatory military service and returns in good health," he concluded. Previously, BTS's Jin was reported to be enlisting in the military on December 13, 2022. However, the management never confirmed this news.
