K-Pop fans were shocked by the news that BlockBerry Creative released Chuu from LOONA. As of November 25, 2022, Chuu is officially no longer part of the group. BlockBerry Creative also revealed the reasons for kicking Chuu from LOONA. This was done after Chuu was alleged to have abused his power against staff by using harsh words.
"Recently we were informed about Chuu using abusive language and abusing power towards staff. The truth was discovered after conducting an investigation," explained BlockBerryCreative. "The agency representative also apologized to the staff and decided to take responsibility for this. So, we removed Chuu from LOONA," he added. After the news, Chuu spoke personally about the decision BlockBerry Creative made.
In a statement released on social media, he admitted that he was not informed at all about being kicked out of LOONA by management. "Because I haven't been contacted at all regarding this situation, I'm currently trying to understand the situation," said Chuu. "But for sure, I have absolutely nothing to do that will embarrass fans. Going forward, when my position has been decided, I will release another statement.

On the other hand, nine LOONA members are said to be planning to terminate their contract with BlockBerry Creative after hearing that Chuu was kicked out of the group. HeeJin, HaSeul, YeoJin, Kim Lip, JinSoul, Choerry, Yves, Go Won, and Olivia Hye are said to have requested the suspension of their exclusive contracts.
JTBC reported that the nine members considered their trust with BlockBerry Creative to be broken, making it difficult to continue activities with the agency. Regarding this news, the management directly denied firmly. After that, there is still no further confirmation from the nine LOONA members who have suspended their contracts.
