SM Entertainment recently uploaded a new video regarding the SM 3.0 strategy development plan. on their Official YouTube channel. In the video, SM Entertainment addresses fans' concerns regarding the development of the new system, including announcing a number of schedules for their artists this year. 

Quoting from Koreaboo on Saturday February 25, 2023, SM Entertainment also announced major changes to the unit system for the boy group NCT. Previously, NCT was known to have a 'Limitless Expansion' system or members with an unlimited number, which allowed new members to join or be added to the group from time to time. However, with the implementation of the SM 3.0 system. 

Currently, SM Entertainment confirms that they will end the unlimited member system on NCT after the NCT Tokyo unit debuts in 2023. "With the debut of the unit NCT Tokyo in 2023, NCT's unlimited member system will be discontinued," said SM Entertainment. SM Entertainment explained that they did this with the aim of supporting existing members and giving them the opportunity to have more activities and meet fans more actively. 

Meanwhile, NCT itself now has around 23 members with a number of sub-units including NCT 127, NCT Dream, WayV, and NCT U. Fans who have followed NCT's unlimited system from the start have also shown their support for SM Entertainment's decision to end NCT's unlimited member system. 

They hope that with this new system, existing NCT members will have the opportunity to further showcase their talents and have more opportunities to promote in various fields. Along with this announcement, SM Entertainment also surprised fans with a number of schedules for each NCT unit in 2023.

Starting from the full album release plan for NCT 127, NCT Dream, and WayV, NCT Tokyo's debut, the release of a mini album for member Ten, to the world tour schedule for WayV, and continued European and American concerts for NCT Dream. One more thing that fans have been waiting for is NCT's comeback plan with a full group in 2023.
