Reported on Monday October 7, 2024, Forbes updated its estimate of the musician's wealth after Bloomberg said Taylor Swift's wealth reached US$1.1 billion in October 2023.

Taylor Swift is now in second place after Jay-Z with US$2.5 billion. "Swift is the first musician to achieve billionaire status from her primary income from her songs and performances," Forbes wrote on its website. Forbes said Swift's wealth came from The Eras Tour and her entire music catalog.

After a year, her income is estimated to have increased to US$500 million. "Swift's fortune includes nearly $600 million from royalties and touring, plus a music catalog estimated to be worth $600 million and $125 million in other assets," Forbes continued.

The assets mentioned include Taylor Swift's homes in several locations, such as Rhode Island, New York City, Nashville, and Los Angeles. Forbes in October 2024 also noted that The Eras Tour, which started in 2023, would earn up to US$2.89 billion.

In addition, Taylor Swift's income is also predicted to come from 11 studio albums, including The Tortured Poets Department which was released in April 2024 and broke Spotify's streaming record. She even has four re-recorded albums with two other albums that have not been released.
