South Korean actor Lee Byung Hun is currently in the spotlight. This is because the actor is suspected of having committed tax evasion. Previously, a South Korean media revealed that the tax service was carrying out a special examination of Lee Byung Hun and the agency, BH Entertainment. The examination will be carried out in September 2022. 

At that time, Lee Byung Hun and BH Entertainment were asked to pay fines of up to hundreds of millions of Won in addition to taxes that had to be paid. In the same report, Lee Byung Hun is said to have bought a 10-story building in the Yangpyeong area, Seoul. He then sold the building in 2021 and made a profit of up to 10 billion Won. 

Regarding this news, BH Entertainment opened their voices. They emphasized that the actor had never committed tax evasion. "Actor Lee Byung Hun has never had an embarrassing incident related to taxes in the past 30 years," emphasized BH Entertainment. Regarding the news about the tax fines that must be paid by the actor, BH Entertainment emphasized that the money spent was not a fine. 

Management also explained further about the purpose of paying additional funds. "The additional tax fee collected is due to differences in deposit time for advertising guarantees," he explained. "We are also in the process of normalizing the accounting for bonuses paid to all employees with the actor's personal expenses being processed as company expenses," concluded BH Entertainment.

Lee Byung Hun is a highly respected top actor in South Korea. Throughout his career. he has starred in a number of popular films and series such as Emergency Declaration, Our Blues, to Squid Game. The actor is also confirmed to return to star in the second season of Squid Game as Front Man. However, it is still uncertain when this series will be aired.
