Sad news came from the Netflix Korean drama The Glory actress, Park Ji Ah. The actress who played Song Hye Kyo's mother has passed away at the age of 52. According to an exclusive report from JTBC News, on Monday September 30, 2024, Park Ji Ah died of cerebral infarction, or better known as ischemic stroke.

Before she passed away, Park Ji Ah was fighting a disease that could not be revealed to the public, then was diagnosed with ischemic stroke. Park Ji Ah's agency released an official statement to confirm JTBC News' report. 

The star of the Korean drama The Glory was declared dead today at 2:50 a.m. KST. Park Ji Ah's funeral will be held on October 2, 2024 at 10 a.m. KST. "This is Park Ji Ah's agency, Billions. We are here to inform you of heartbreaking news. 

Park Ji Ah passed away today at 2:50 a.m. at the age of 52 after suffering an ischemic stroke," the Billions representative explained. "The funeral for the deceased has been arranged at funeral hall 2 at Asan Medical Center Korea. The funeral procession will take place on October 2, 2024 at 10 a.m." 

"Billions will forever remember the passion that the deceased had, as she loved acting until the end. Once again, we express our deepest condolences to the deceased and may she rest in peace," concluded Park Ji Ah's agency, as reported by Soompi.

Park Ji Ah was born on February 25, 1972. She has made her acting debut since 1998 as a film player Jugineun Iyagi. In addition to The Glory, Park Ji Ah is known for her roles in Korean dramas The Doctors, Suspicious Partner, and Judge vs Judge.
