South Korean actor, Park Seo Joon received criticism after turning down a fan request at a stage greeting event for his latest film, " Concrete Utopia ". “Concrete Utopia” is a film starring Lee Byung Hun, Park Seo Joon, and Park Bo Young, which will be released on August 9, 2023.

The film depicts earthquake survivors who gather in the only remaining apartment building in Seoul. Ahead of the release date, the actors are involved in promotional events such as stage greetings. However, during one of these events, Park Seo Joon faced controversy for turning down a fan's request.

Since Park Seo Joon and Park Bo Young played a couple in “Concrete Utopia”, one fan prepared couple headbands that resembled Zootopia's Nick and Judy, the characters they look like. Park Bo Young wore Judy's character headband first and then handed Nick's character headband to Park Seo Joon.

However, Park Seo Joon refused to wear the headband and hinted that he had used hair spray. Park Bo Young nodded in understanding at Park Seo Joon's reaction, and continued to hold the headband in his hand for a while. When the video of the incident went viral on various social media platforms, netizens reacted hotly.

In particular, many criticized Park Seo Joon for his attitude. “ Isn't wearing a headband a common practice during stage greetings? ” wrote one netizen as quoted from KBIZoom on August 7,2023. " Even if he doesn't want to wear it, he should accept it, " said another netizen.

" Another actor did it, so why wouldn't he? " another netizen chimed in. Meanwhile, stage greeting is a form of fan service in Korea. During the event, most of the actors happily accepted fan requests, such as wearing headbands or necklaces.

Many criticized Park Seo Joon's behavior, saying that his attitude was disrespectful to people who came to see his new film and that his fan service was sorely lacking. Furthermore, many stated that Park Seo Joon's attitude was very strange because previously he was willing to wear a headband during the greeting event for his film "Dream", but refused it at the "Concrete Utopia" program.
