Ella Purnell has officially joined the cast of the horror comedy film entitled The Scurry . From existing leaks, this film will present the terror that comes from a group of killer squirrels. Adapting a report from Screen Daily on Thursday May 16, 2024, The Scurry is a film directed by director Criag Roberts and has entered the shooting process in England.

True Brit Entertainment is the company participating as co-producer and distributor. In this film, Ella, who works as a pest controller, is called on duty to a rural park cafe to investigate a pest problem that has been occurring frequently recently.

But suddenly, an avalanche of crazed squirrels descends as night falls and wreaks terrible havoc everywhere. It is not yet known whether the squirrels in The Scurry will become giant rodents or just ordinary forest animals that have turned vicious. Previously, Ella had successfully played the main character named Lucy MacLean in the Prime Video Fallout series .

He is also known for his roles in a number of films, namely Kick-Ass 2, Never Let Me Go, Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children, and also in the emotional indie drama, Wildlike. Apart from Ella Purnell, a number of other players also joined, namely Rhys Ifans, Antonia Thomas and Paapa Essiedu. Paapa Essiedu previously starred in the series I May Destroy You as well as the horror film Men by Alex Garland.

Meanwhile Rhys Ifans is an experienced actor who has appeared in a variety of films, from popular ones such as Notting Hill and The Amazing Spider-Man, to more unique works such as Mr. Nobody. Criag Roberts, who has directed three films, started his career as an actor.

She appeared in Richard Ayoade's film Submarine in 2010, where he played the teenage character Oliver Tate. The Scurry marked Criag's debut in a horror genre film. Seeing the character of a killer squirrel as the main monster, Criag seems to have made a number of good preparations to present this horror comedy that is considered out of the box.
