Wi Ha Joon recently talked about his career as an actor and the many positive responses he received after playing in the Netflix series 'Squid Game'. Debuting in acting in 2015, Wi Ha Joon played the youthful Uhm Tae Goo in the film 'Coin Locker Girl'. 

Furthermore, he appeared in various works, such as 'Something in the Rain', '18 Again', 'Romance is a Bonus Book', 'Little Women', 'The Worst of Evil', and many more. Quoting from Kdrama Stars on May 15, 2024, Wi Ha Joon admitted that he was not popular during his school days. 

However, although he was not famous among girls, he was always popular with boys and had the same experience during his military service. "I played 'Squid Game' abroad and was loved by many men. I was curious why my charm was attractive to them," said Wi Ha Joon.

Even though he has been successful as an actor, it turns out that Wi Ha Joon once had a dream of becoming an idol. Wi Ha Joon dreams of pursuing the music industry as a K-pop idol. He also admitted that he liked dancing since he was little.

"I like acrobatics and b-boying. When I was at the dance club, I dreamed of being a member of an idol group," said the actor who was born on August 5 1991. Interestingly, what made him change his mind was when he visited Japan.

“I came to Tokyo and did something, and when I started studying acting, I became an actor,” he said. After his name became widely known thanks to the 'Squid Game' series, Wi Ha Joon appeared in various dramas and films, and his fan base grew.

The quality of his acting also shows a lot of progress. The characters he plays are varied and don't just focus on one genre. Starting from the protagonist role in 'Bad and Crazy' and 'Little Women' to becoming a drug kingpin in 'The Worst of Evil', Wi Ha Joon succeeded in presenting his character very well.

Currently, Wi Ha Joon is starring in the romantic drama 'The Midnight Romance in Hagwon', where he is paired with Jung Ryeo Won. This drama can be watched every Saturday and Sunday at 21.20 KST.
