G-Dragon announced his new album and world tour titled Ubermensch. The album will be released on February 25, 2025. In addition to receiving fan enthusiasm for the new album and world tour, G-Dragon also reaped controversy due to the title Ubermensch which was considered to be related to the Nazis.

It is known that the word Ubermensch comes from the work of German philosopher Friedrich Nietzsche. He introduced Ubermensch as the concept of 'the ideal superior man of the future' or someone who transcends conventional morality and social norms.

The term was later associated with the Nazi regime. The Nazi Party used the term to describe the Aryan race. It is known that during World War II, Hitler's soldiers also marched to the battlefield carrying Friedrich Nietzsche's books and ordinary Germans were occasionally urged to read the philosopher's words.

On the other hand, there are also those who defend G-Dragon and claim that the concept of this album has nothing to do with Nazis. It is interpreted that G-Dragon uses this term as a self-reflection to surpass himself. Ubermensch refers to a concept in Friedrich Nietzsche's philosophy which literally means superior man or superhuman.

"I teach you the Superhuman. The human must be surpassed. The Superhuman is the meaning of this earth. Let your will say: The Superhuman will be the meaning of the earth! " reads a quote from Nietzsche's book Speak Zarathustra.

Reported from the LSF Discourse page, Nietzsche's Ubermensch concept can be used as a reference and a place for humans to develop themselves. Through the Ubermensch concept, humans are able to become individuals who surpass themselves, are able to overcome their fear of challenges and are able to persevere in the midst of difficulties.
