South Korean actor, Shin Ha Kyun recently discussed his character in tvN's latest Korean drama entitled ' The Auditors ', and how he got into the character. 'The Auditors' tells the story of the audit team at JU Construction, a company where corruption is rampant.

Apart from Shin Ha Kyun, this drama also stars Lee Jung Ha, Jin Goo, Jo Aram, and Jung Moon Sung. "The topic of audits and audit teams is rarely explored in dramas, so it brings a new perspective," said Shin Ha Kyun as quoted by Soompi on Tuesday June 25, 2024.

“I will try to illustrate the severity of the exploitation of faith. "I find it interesting that this is a story about faith and humanity," he added. In this drama, Shin Ha Kyun plays Shin Cha Il, the head of the audit team who is known for being strict.

He is described as someone who is very understanding and punishes anyone who betrays his trust. "Shin Cha Il is shrewd and uncompromising, does not trust others but is dedicated to achieving excellence in his duties," said Shin Ha Kyun. He added, “As time goes by, I believe Shin Cha Il has the ability to understand and assess problems comprehensively.

He is someone who not only acts independently but also has the ability to influence the people around him.” To depict various aspects of Shin Cha Il's character, Shin Ha Kyun admitted that he adhered strictly to the contents of the script to avoid missing certain details. He hopes Shin Cha Il's character is portrayed in a different way.

Shin Ha Kyun pointed out an important scene featuring a gas gun, saying, “It fits perfectly with the character's circumstances, always facing enemies because of his aggressive and confrontational style, leading to dangerous or unpredictable situations.”

According to Shin Ha Kyun, the dynamic between Shin Cha Il and Gu Han Soo (played by Lee Jung Ha), along with the teamwork of the audit team, is very interesting. Viewers can see how the characters' relationships develop throughout the story. Meanwhile, the drama 'The Auditors' will premiere on July 6, 2024, every Saturday and Sunday at 21.20 KST.
