A film adaptation of the popular video game Until Dawn is being produced by Screen Gems and PlayStation Productions. The film is described as an R-rated horror film and focuses on a group of main characters. Recently, they announced the list of players who will star in the film.
Adapted from Deadline on Saturday June 15, 2024, the upcoming film adaptation of Until Dawn is directed by David F. Sandberg. Some of the actors joining this project include Ella Rubin (The Idea of You), Michael Cimino (Love, Victor), Ji-Young Yoo (Expats), and Odessa A'zion (Hellraiser).
Screenwriting was taken over by Gary Dauberman, replacing Blair Butler. Apart from writing, Gary Dauberman will also produce this film with Sandberg, Mia Maniscalco, Lotta Losten, Roy Lee, Asad Qizilbash, and Carter Swan.
Until Dawn is the latest project from PlayStation Productions which adapts a number of popular game titles into the world of film and television. The first successful project will be Uncharted in 2022, starring Tom Holland and Mark Wahlberg.
