The production team of KBS2 2024 Drama Special: The Officer Discusses announced the main cast, namely Tang Jun Sang, Nam Da Reum, Choi Hee Jin, Yoon Na Moo, Seo Jin Won, and Jo Han Chul.
The Officer Discusses tells the story of a young inspector determined to preserve history and a crown prince who tries to erase it to become king as they clash in their beliefs. Tang Jun Sang will play Nam Yeo Kang, a low-ranking sergeant at Yemungwan (an institution that records the king's words and orders).
He is isolated from the outside world and is nicknamed a bookworm. Despite this, Yeo Kang becomes a sergeant, a prestigious role reserved for the elite, but a harsh reality that is very different from what he imagined is right before him.Meanwhile, Nam Da Reum will play the Crown Prince of Joseon, who is known for his unrivaled intelligence and perfection.
In order to bring about a new era in Joseon, he tries to erase the historical records of a certain year to hide his shortcomings. However, his plans are disrupted by Yeo Kang, who gets in his way. Actor Yoon Na Moo will play Shin Hee Soo, a junior official at Yemungwan, who is constantly exhausted due to his overwhelming workload.
Choi Hee Jin plays the character of Lady Hye Bin Hong, the crown prince's mother, who is always worried that her son might be harmed in the fierce battle for the throne.
