ASTRO's Cha Eunwoo spoke about his friend and ASTRO member Moobin who passed away a year ago. Moonbin passed away on April 19, 2023 at the age of 25. His sudden death shook the Kpop industry.
Appearing on You Quiz!, Eunwoo was asked if he wanted to talk about Moonbin and his sudden death. The singer and actor was willing but looked emotional as he answered. Several times Eun Woo was seen pausing before starting to speak.
Likewise when opening the conversation about the song he wrote titled "Where Am I", in honor of Moonbin. Holding back tears, Eunwoo admitted, “It was a really hard year for me, personally.” "I wrote it while crying. Right now, I still can't sing the song," he added.
Eunwoo also often looks down when talking about himself after Moonbin left. “I feel very guilty. When I eat, I wonder if it’s okay to eat or if it’s okay to sleep. It comes up from time to time, it comes up a lot,” she said. “He sometimes appears in my dreams, often.
The dreams vary a bit. Sometimes we’re at the gym, sometimes we’re at the recording studio. It varies from time to time,” Eunwoo said. On that occasion, Eunwoo also sent a message to Moonbin. “Bin-ah.. How are you? I miss you. I will do my role well including yours.. so don’t worry.
See you later,” Eun Woo said. Eunwoo had a close bond with Moonbin. After his death, the Kpop idol wrote a letter to commemorate him. In the letter he left at the memorial, Eunwoo wrote, “Bin, I miss you tonight, you meanie. I came with Sanha while walking around.”
"Why do I miss and regret all the things we did together that I took for granted, even the very small things?… I hope you are a hundred times happier where you are," she wrote. Eunwoo also promised to take care of everything that Moonbin left behind.
"Don't worry about what you left behind because I will take responsibility and take care of it. You did very well. I love you, and I'm sorry, my friend," he wrote again. Not long ago, ASTRO members were also seen gathering with Moonbin's family.
