Rowoon, Shin Ye Eun, Park Seo Ham, and Park Ji Hwan are confirmed to star in the upcoming saeguk drama titled ' The Murky Stream '. This will be the first saeguk or historical drama that is a Disney+ original. 'The Murky Stream' is a historical drama set in Joseon, where the Gyeonggang River is located. 

This river was once famous for being clear but then turned into a murky river in a lawless land. Quoting Soompi on Thursday November 21, 2024, this drama tells the story of the tumultuous fate of Si Yool (Rowoon). He hides his past from the people around him and becomes a criminal.

Choi Eun (Shin Ye Eun) is a wise and fair woman, Jeong Cheon (Park Seo Ham), a young man who dreams of becoming an incorrupt official, and Mu Deok (Park Ji Hwan). In 'The Murky Stream', Shin Ye Eun will play the character of a merchant who leads merchants in Joseon. 

How she can relate to Si Yool, a man who hides the secret of his past and lives in a lawless land will be a point to look forward to. The drama will be a collaboration between director Choo Chang Min of the film 'Masquerade' and writer Cheon Sung Il of the popular drama 'All of Us Are Dead'.

NPIO Entertainment, which has recently proven its success with projects such as 'Jeongnyeon: The Star Is Born', 'King the Land', and 'The Red Sleeve', will be in charge of production. Rowoon, who has established his career as an actor, has experience in historical dramas such as 'The Matchmakers' and 'The King's Affection'.

Shin Ye Eun recently appeared in the drama 'Jeongnyeon: The Star is Born' which is set in the 50s and the historical drama 'The Secret Romantic Guesthouse'. The two main actors who have experience in historical dramas are expected to give maximum performance and amaze the audience through the story of 'The Murky Stream'. 

In addition, considering this is Disney's first project for historical drama, of course the audience is looking forward to Disney's characteristic in presenting a story combined with history. Look forward to Rowoon and Shin Ye Eun's appearance in the drama 'The Murky Stream' which is planned to air in 2025.
