Rose's joining is expected to accelerate the company's global expansion goals. This move is in line with BHC's broader strategy to increase the global recognition of "K-Chicken" (Korean fried chicken) on the world stage.
BHC's signature chicken "Bburinkle" has become a hit not only in South Korea but also in overseas markets. According to BHC, 'Bburinkle' is sold in seven countries, including Malaysia, Thailand, the United States, Hong Kong, Singapore, Canada, and Taiwan.
Cumulative overseas sales have exceeded 900,000 units. Among all the menus sold overseas, "Bburinkle" ranks as the best-selling menu in each country. BHC is reportedly optimistic about the “Rose effect,” especially after the success of its recent collaboration with global artist Bruno Mars on the song “APT,” which was well-received by global audiences.
“There is a limit to being more competitive with new menus alone, so the company is turning to advertising with more popular models,” said an insider. The insider speculated that bringing Rose on board is BHC’s move to secure its top spot among Korean fried chicken franchises.
