Jo Jung-suk is confirmed to appear as a cameo in the Korean drama Weak Hero Class 2. The actor who is famous for the drama Hospital Playlist will be a cameo in the drama starring Park Ji-hoon. Jo Jung-suk's appearance in Weak Hero Class 2 itself was confirmed directly by Netflix.
However, the production team is still keeping the actor's role a secret in the drama that tells the story of bullying in school. "Jo Jung-suk will be making a special appearance in Weak Hero Class 2. Please understand that we cannot reveal details of his role or screen time at this time," said a Netflix representative as reported by News1 via Naver on Tuesday March 18, 2025.
Jo Jung-suk is rumored to be giving a special appearance through the sequel to Weak Hero Class 1 because of his closeness to the drama's director, Han Jun-hee. Jo Jung-suk and Han Jun-hee previously worked together in the film Hit-and-Run Squad.
The actor also starred in the comedy Pilot produced by SHOTCAKE, the production house also headed by Han Jun-hee. On the other hand, the story of Weak Hero Class 2 will still focus on the story of Yeon Si-eun (Park Ji-hoon). He decided to transfer to Eunjang High School after everything that happened at the end of the first season of the series.
Yeon Si-un is filled with sadness and guilt because he feels he failed to protect his best friend, Ahn Su-ho (Choi Hyun-wook), who was critically ill and in a coma. At her new school, Si-eun then makes friends with Park Hoo-Min (Ryeo Un), Seo Joon-Tae (Choi Min-young) and Go Hyun-Tak (Lee Min-jae).
However, Yeon Si-eun now has to face a gang that is bigger and more ruthless than before. They are often known as the Alliance. The notorious gang members consist of Na Baek-Jin (Bae Na-Ra) Geum Sung-Je (Lee Jun-Young).
Si-eun is determined not to let history repeat itself, and tries to fight to survive in her new environment, even though she faces greater violence while trying hard to protect the people she cares about. Weak Hero Class 2 is planned to air in the second quarter of 2025 on Netflix.
