New day, new achievement for BTS's Jin ! His latest album, Echo, has successfully debuted on the UK charts. BIGHIT MUSIC reported in their official statement, reported by Korea JoongAng Daily on Sunday May 25, 2025, that the mini album Echo landed smoothly at position #63 on the British Official Albums Chart.
For those who don't know, the British Official Albums Chart is the most prestigious weekly album chart in the UK. The chart is compiled by the Official Charts Company (OCC), measuring album performance based on various indicators: physical sales, digital downloads, and streaming on platforms such as Spotify, Apple Music, and Amazon Music.
The data is collected from 8,000 digital retail platforms across the UK and is updated every Friday. Since the digital era, the OCC has also implemented a streaming conversion system to album sales units. So the consumption of album music from a particular artist is more accurate.
The British Official Albums Chart remains a barometer of global artist success and popularity in the UK. Throughout the chart's history, there have been many K-Pop albums that have topped the charts including BTS, SEVENTEEN, Stray Kids, and BLACKPINK. Well, for Jin, the Echo album is his new achievement on the chart as a soloist.
Although previously BTS albums such as Map of the Soul: Persona (2019) and Map of the Soul: 7 (2020) had appeared there. On a different chart, namely the Official Singles Chart (also from OCC), the main song from the Echo album entitled Don't Say You Love Me is in position #58 as of Friday this week.
The album by the guy whose real name is Kim Seok Jin was really welcomed by ARMY all over the world. On the Spotify platform, Jin's title track is listed in the Weekly Top Song Global at #7. The Echo album also entered the Weekly Top Album Global at #11.
Just like the Official Chart, Spotify also always updates its charts every Friday. The Echo album will be performed by Jin in a solo fancon tour starting on June 28-29 at Goyang Stadium, South Korea. From there, Jin will fly to various cities in many countries including Japan, the United States, and England with a total of 18 shows.
