Dylan Wang has been caught up in rumors of a botched penis enlargement procedure. His agency has finally spoken out. According to Koreaboo, Chinese social media is currently abuzz with rumors about a top star who allegedly suffered a blocked blood vessel due to hyaluronic acid injections into his genitals.
The procedure is generally performed to increase the diameter of the penis, and the effects gradually fade. However, if not handled properly, the procedure carries the risk of causing a blockage that can lead to necrosis (tissue death), requiring surgery and even being fatal.
The rumor is known to involve Dylan Wang, an actor whose popularity skyrocketed thanks to his debut role in the Chinese drama Meteor Garden. The issue, titled "Leaked: Wang Hedi Had Hyaluronic Acid Injection in Intimate Area, Causing Blockage" even topped the popular search charts on Weibo.
This rumor allegedly started from a chat group conversation that claimed to be sharing the actor's medical records for free. The rumor was also accompanied by video footage that claimed to show the medical procedure.
Responding to the circulating issue, Dylan Wang's management confirmed that there were engineered screenshots of chats on social media that were deliberately spread to slander and defame the artist.
"Recently, we discovered that some online parties had deliberately fabricated screenshots of chats related to Wang Hedi (Dylan Wang). This false evidence was spread through personal channels and various social media platforms to slander and defame him," wrote Dylan Wang's management.
The management believes that this action has damaged the artist's personal reputation and had a negative impact on the public sphere, so they are taking firm legal action without tolerance.
"Today, we have completed the process of collecting and securing notarized evidence, and immediately reported this case to the police," wrote Dylan Wang's management. "At the same time, we have appointed a legal team to handle this violation case thoroughly.
We will hold the creators and spreaders of rumors legally accountable in accordance with applicable regulations to protect Wang Hedi's legitimate rights," they continued. Management reminds the public that the internet has legal limitations and urges them to use it wisely without spreading fake news.
"The internet is not immune to the law. We urge the public not to spread false information recklessly. Let us use the internet wisely and work together to maintain a healthy and conducive digital ecosystem. This is our statement," concluded Dylan Wang's management.
The hospital implicated in the rumors has also released an official statement, confirming that Dylan Wang has no affiliation with their healthcare facility and offering legal action against the use of the institution's name. Meanwhile, the party suspected of spreading the rumors has reportedly apologized.
