Seo Kang Joon returns to the small screen with his latest K-Drama, A Love Other Than Yours, but unfortunately, his debut hasn't gone smoothly. Although the actor recently won a Daesang at the 2025 MBC Drama Awards, the KBS 2TV drama only recorded disappointing ratings.

The drama, which premiered on September 12, 2026 , tells the story of Namgoong Ho, played by Seo Kang Joon , an employee at a garment company who has been in a relationship with Lee Mi Do (played by Ahn Eun Jin ) for ten years.

Despite starring famous actors and Seo Kang Joon's Daesang win, A Love Other Than Yours' ratings were quite low. According to Nielsen Korea , the drama's premiere episode only achieved a national rating of 2.6% .

The second episode saw a slight increase, with a rating of 2.8%. This figure is significantly lower than its predecessor, Undercover High School, which debuted with a rating of 5.6% in February 2025 and peaked at 8.3%.

Additionally, the new drama also debuted with lower ratings than its previous drama in the same slot, The Complete Marriage, starring Namgoong Min, which recorded a rating of 4.4%. Some viewers cited the relatively calm storyline as one of the reasons why the drama had a slow start.

Unlike many recent weekend dramas, which often rely on action or other genre elements, A Love Other Than Yours focuses more on the emotional changes in a long-term relationship and the possibility of marriage.

Discussions also arose regarding the sudden breakup between the two leads, with some viewers feeling that the drama didn't have enough time to build their chemistry before the relationship began to falter. With only two episodes already airing, it remains to be seen whether the drama can improve its ratings in the coming weeks.
