PLEDIS Entertainment has officially revealed the military enlistment dates for three SEVENTEEN members : Mingyu, Seungkwan, and Dino. Previously, one of the members, Seungkwan, was reported to have applied for enlistment to one of the divisions.
"Seungkwan and Dino are scheduled to enlist as members of the military band on October 26, 2026. They will be active in all of (SEVENTEEN's) activities before their enlistment," PLEDIS Entertainment said on Monday, August 10, 2026.
The departure ceremony will be attended by the immediate family and other members therefore, the agency hopes that fans will not visit the two on the day of departure. Additionally, Mingyu was also announced to be departing on September 10th, a month after the announcement was made.
Similar to Seungkwan and Dino, Mingyu did not hold any official fan events, so the agency asked fans not to visit his work station. "Mingyu will be enlisting in the military on September 10, 2026. He will also participate in all group activities before his enlistment," the agency said.
"When Mingyu, Seungkwan, and Dino begin their duties, they will not be able to participate in SEVENTEEN's activities. However, they will continue to communicate with CARATs ( SEVENTEEN's fanbase ) through various prepared content," the agency explained.
The three are the latest SEVENTEEN members to enlist in the military. The agency previously revealed that DK and Vernon will be enlisting this month and next September, respectively.
This year, SEVENTEEN continued their NEW WORLD TOUR, which began in 2025, and held a fan meeting last June to announce the group's hiatus. They then focused on sub-unit activities. Vernon and The 8 formed a new sub-unit called V8, releasing their first mini-album.
