A Chinese smartphone maker wants to bring the selfie pop-up camera to the side.
OPPO is working towards the new full-screen design smartphones. Now a days we’ve seen punch holes, notches, pop-up and rotating cameras but a new OPPO patent is giving us yet another interesting take. Up until now all pop-up smartphone cameras are usually found sitting up at the top of phones but an Oppo patent found in the (China National Intellectual Property Administration) or CNIPA database is giving us our first look at a side-mounted pop-up camera.
In a new patent, Oppo describes a smartphone whose pop-up camera is on the side, and until now we used to see it on the upper edge of the phones.
