Xiaomi has today announced a new wireless remote charging technology, called Mi Air Charge. The company claims that it can wirelessly charge multiple devices simultaneously without connecting any cables or placing your devices on a wireless charging stand.
The Mi Air Charge is capable of charging multiple devices at a time. According to the company, this technology can deliver 5W of power to a single device over a distance of a couple of meters from the “self-developed isolated charging pile.” This charging pile comes with a 5-phase built-in interface antenna that can accurately detect the position of your phone to charge it.
The Mi Air Charge technology has a phase control array consisting of 144 antennas that can transmit millimeter-wide waves directly to the phone through beamforming. This technology can refuel devices remotely within a radius of several meters.
The company claims that even physical obstacles do not reduce the charging efficiency of the new remote charging technology. In addition, Xiaomi also announced that it is working on self-developed space isolation charging technology that will be able to work with smartwatches, bracelets, and other wearable devices.
