Huawei Nova Y9a was revealed in South Africa as the new budget device from the Chinese Tech Company. The smartphone comes with a quad rear camera setup, pop-up selfie camera, a MediaTek octa-core chipset, enough battery to provide a day battery back up, 40W fast charging, and more.

Huawei Nova Y9a comes with a 6.63 inches IPS LCD display with a Full-HD+ ( 1080 x 2400 pixels ) resolution and 16.7 million colors. Under, the hood the handset is powered with a MediaTek Helio G80 octa-core chipset that comes paired with Mali G52 MP2 GPU. The device is accompanied by 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB of UFS 2.1 internal storage. In terms of dimensions, the device measures 163.5 x 76.5 x 8.95mm thick and weighs 197 grams.

The Huawei Nova Y9a boasts a quad rear camera that includes a 64-megapixel primary sensor with EIS support, an 8-megapixel ultrawide lens with a 120-degree Field of View, a 2-megapixel macro sensor, and a 2-megapixel portrait lens. For selfies and video calls, the smartphone sports a 16-megapixel pop-up front-facing camera module. The handset is backed by a 4200mah battery and supports 40W fast charging. 

The Huawei Nova Y9a is running on Android 10 OS with EMUI 10.1 skin on top and like other Huawei mobiles, it comes with Huawei Mobile Services (HMS) and doesn’t support GMS (Google Mobile Services). For connectivity, the smartphone includes 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.1, a USB Type-C port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. It comes with a side-mounted fingerprint sensor as well.

As for pricing and availability, the Huawei Nova Y9a comes with a price of ZAR 6,499 ( Rs. 31, 300 approx ) and the company offered the smartphone in three color options namely Space Silver, Sakura Pink, and Midnight Black. The handset is currently revealed in South Africa and will be heading to the middle East and middle Asia soon.
