Chinese tech company, HONOR has launched its latest flagship handsets, the Magic4 and Magic4 Pro, at the MWC 2022. The former starts at €899 (roughly Rs. 75,800), while the latter begins at €1,099 (around Rs. 92,700). As for the key highlights, they feature a 50MP main camera, a 120Hz LTPO AMOLED display, a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip, and up to 100W wireless fast charging.
HONOR has launched the Magic4 and Magic4 Pro as its first flagship devices of 2022 with an aim to take on rivals such as the OPPO Find X5 series, Samsung Galaxy S22 series, and Xiaomi 12 series. Although the smartphones have similarities when it comes to hardware and software, the high-end Magic4 Pro trumps the vanilla model in several areas.
The HONOR Magic4 features a punch-hole design with curved edges on the sides, while the Magic4 Pro sports a quad-curved screen with a pill-shaped cut-out on the top-left corner. They have an IP54-rated and IP68-rated build quality, respectively. The smartphones bear a 6.81-inch LTPO AMOLED display with up to 120Hz refresh rate and HDR10+ support, with 1224x2664 pixels and 1312x2848 pixels resolution, respectively.
In terms of optics, the vanilla HONOR Magic4 is equipped with a triple rear camera setup, including a 50MP main shooter, a 50MP ultra-wide sensor, and an 8MP telephoto lens. The Magic4 Pro has a similar arrangement except for a 64MP telephoto shooter. Up front, the former has a 12MP selfie camera while the latter flaunts a 12MP shooter and a 3D depth sensor on the front.
Under the hood, the HONOR Magic4 series is fueled by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC, paired with up to 12GB of RAM and up to 512GB of onboard storage. At the heart, they boot Android 12-based Magic UI 6.0 OS out of the box. The vanilla Magic4 packs a 4,800mAh battery with 66W fast-charging support, while the Magic4 Pro houses a 4,600mAh battery with 100W wired and wireless fast-charging capability.
For official pricing and availability, the vanilla HONOR Magic4 starts at €899 (roughly Rs. 75,800) for the 8GB/128GB model, while the HONOR Magic4 Pro begins at €1,099 (around Rs. 92,700) for the 8GB/256GB variant. They are available in Black, White, Gold, Cyan, and Orange color options.
