Xiaomi had launched its flagship 12 series in China back in December 2021. In the latest development, Android Planet has reported that the series will make its global debut on March 15. The Dutch publication has also shared an official-looking poster of the same. The line-up includes 12, 12X, and 12 Pro models. All three are expected to be available in the global market too.

People around the world have been waiting to get their hands on the flagship Xiaomi 12 series. Although the Chinese tech company hasn't made any official announcement yet, the leaked poster hints at an imminent arrival. It remains to be seen how the series will fare globally considering the competition has tightened with the arrival of OPPO Find X5 series and Samsung Galaxy S22 series.

The Xiaomi 12 and 12X bear a 6.28-inch Full-HD+ (1080x2400 pixels) AMOLED display, while the 12 Pro sports a 6.73-inch QHD+ (1400x3200 pixels) LTPO AMOLED screen. The Xiaomi 12 series features a centrally-aligned punch-hole cut-out, slim bezels, an in-display fingerprint sensor, and a rectangular camera unit on the rear.

Under the hood, the Xiaomi 12X is fueled by a Snapdragon 870 chipset, while the vanilla 12 and 12 Pro are powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC. The Xiaomi 12X and 12 pack a 4,500mAh battery with 67W fast-charging, while the Xiaomi 12 Pro houses a 4,600mAh battery with 120W fast-charging. The Xiaomi 12 and 12 Pro also support 50W wireless charging.

As far as the cameras are concerned, the Xiaomi 12 and 12X are equipped with a 50MP main shooter, a 13MP ultra-wide sensor, and a 5MP telephoto lens. The 12 Pro flaunts a 50MP primary sensor, a 50MP ultra-wide lens, and a 50MP telephoto lens. Up front, they have a 32MP selfie snapper. On the front software, they boot Android 12-based MIUI 13 OS out of the box.

The official pricing and availability details of the Xiaomi 12 series in the global market will be announced at the time of launch. For reference, in China, the series starts at CNY 3,199 (roughly Rs. 38,200) and goes up to CNY 5,399 (around Rs. 64,400). As for the colour options, all three smartphones will be available in Blue, Gray, and Purple colour options.
