Honor’s latest X-series smartphone is here with the newly launched Honor X8. The handset was announced for the MEA region and will arrive to more regions including Africa and Europe soon. As for the key highlights, it features midrange specs including a 6.7-inch LCD with a 90Hz refresh rate, Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 690 chipset, quad rear cameras, and a 4,000 mAh battery with 22.5W fast charging.

The Honor X8 comes with a 6.70-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 1080x2388 pixels. Under the hood, the smartphone is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 processor. It comes with 6GB of RAM. At the heart, the handset runs Android 11 and is powered by a 4000mAh battery. The device supports proprietary fast charging.

In terms of optics, the Honor X8 on the rear packs a quad camera setup featuring a 64-megapixel primary camera with an f/1.8 aperture; a 5-megapixel camera with an f/2.2 aperture; a 2-megapixel camera with an f/2.4 aperture, and a 2-megapixel camera with an f/2.4 aperture. The rear camera setup has autofocus. It has a single front camera setup for selfies and video calls, featuring a 16-megapixel sensor with an f/2.45 aperture.

On the front software, the Honor X8 runs Magic UI 4.2 is based on Android 11 OS out of the box and packs 128GB of inbuilt storage. The smartphone is a dual-SIM (GSM and GSM) mobile that accepts Nano-SIM and Nano-SIM cards. In terms of dimensions, the handset measures 163.40 x 74.70 x 7.45mm (height x width x thickness) and weighs 177.00 grams.

For connectivity options on the Honor X8 include Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, GPS, Bluetooth v5.00, USB Type-C, 3G, and 4G (with support for Band 40 used by some LTE networks). Sensors on the smartphone include accelerometer, ambient light sensor, compass/ magnetometer, proximity sensor, and fingerprint sensor. It was launched in Ocean Blue, Midnight Black, and Titanium Silver colours.
