Lenovo has launched its latest flagship gaming smartphone, called the Legion Y90, in China. It starts at CNY 3,999 (around Rs. 47,700) for the 12GB/256GB model. The company is yet to announce when the handset will be available outside of China. As for the highlights, it features a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip, a 144Hz AMOLED display, dual cooling fans, and 68W fast-charging.

Lenovo Legion Y90 is the company's first flagship device of 2022 and it is tailored for mobile gamers. It has a 1,600mm² of heat dissipation material, a large VC cooling plate, and dual physical cooling fans for improved thermal management. The handset takes on the likes of Redmi K50 Gaming Edition, ASUS ROG Phone 5S and Nubia RedMagic 7 series, among others.

The Lenovo Legion Y90 bears a 6.92-inch Full-HD+ (1080x2460 pixels) E4 AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate, a 720Hz touch sampling rate, and HDR10+ support. The handset features a punch-hole design, a noticeable bottom bezel, an in-display fingerprint sensor, and four shoulder-mounted buttons. On the rear, it has a full-width oval module with RGB lighting, a dual camera setup, and two fans.

Under the hood, the Lenovo Legion Y90 is powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip, coupled with up to 18GB of RAM and up to 640GB of internal storage. The handset packs a 5,600mAh battery with 68W fast-charging support. For connectivity options, the smartphone offers support for Bluetooth 5.2, Wi-Fi 6, 5G, and two Type-C ports.

As far as the cameras are concerned, the Lenovo Legion Y90 gaming smartphone flaunts a dual rear camera setup, comprising a 64MP primary sensor and a 13MP ultra-wide lens. Up front, it sports a 16MP selfie snapper. On the front software, it boots Android 12-based ZUI 13 OS out of the box.

For official pricing and availability, the Lenovo Legion Y90 gaming smartphone starts at CNY 3,999 (roughly Rs. 47,700) for the 12GB/256GB model and goes up to CNY 4,999 (approximately Rs. 59,600) for the 18GB/640GB variant. The handset is available in colors Titanium White, Ultimate Black. It will go on sale in China from March 10.
