Asus 8Z was revealed in India as the new flagship premium device from the Taiwan-based Tech Giant. The handset was teased back in August last year 2021 but the company unveiled it today. The smartphone comes with a fast refresh rate AMOLED display, Qualcomm’s flagship chipset, triple rear camera, considerable battery capacity, fast charging, and more.
Asus 8Z comes with a 5.9-inch full-HD+ Samsung E4 AMOLED display with a 120Hz fast refresh rate, Full-HD+ resolution, HDR10+ support, 1100nits peak brightness, and Gorilla Glass Victus Protection. Under the hood, the smartphone is equipped with a Snapdragon 888 octa-core chipset that comes coupled with an Adreno 660 GPU. It is accompanied by 8 GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 128 GB of UFS 3.1 onboard storage.
In terms of optics, The Asus 8Z features a dual rear camera setup that includes a 64-megapixel Sony IMX686 primary sensor with f/1.8 aperture and 4-axis Optical Image Stabilization support, and a 12-megapixel Sony IMX363 ultrawide lens. Additionally, the handset supports 3-axis Electronic Image Stabilization, 4k@120fps slow motion, and 8k video recording. The smartphone boasts a 12-megapixel Sony IMX663 selfie camera under the punch-hole at the top left corner.
The Asus 8Z is packed with a 4,000mAh battery and supports 30W fast charging. On the front software, the smartphone is running on Android 11 with Zen UI skin on top. It sports an IP68 water resistance rating and Dual stereo speakers. For connectivity options, the handset includes 5G, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS, 3.5mm headphone jack, NFC, and a USB Type-C port. In terms of dimensions, the device measures 148 x 68.5 x 8.9mm and weighs 169 grams.
For pricing and availability, the Asus 8Z comes in a solo 8GB + 128GB configuration priced at Rs. 42,999 and the company offered the smartphone in two color options namely Obsidian Black and Horizon Silver. The handset can be purchased from e-commerce platform website Flipkart starting from March 7 at 12 PM.
