Motorola is gearing up to launch a new G-series smartphone, the Moto G22. In the latest development, renders and specifications of the handset have surfaced online, courtesy of WinFuture. As per the report, it will feature a 50MP main camera, a MediaTek Helio G37 chip, a 90Hz AMOLED display, and a 5,000mAh battery. The device is expected to be announced sometime this month.
The Motorola Moto G22 will arrive as a successor to last year's G20 smartphone. The device has been the subject of various leaks recently, which suggests an imminent launch. With many companies now releasing feature-loaded budget-range smartphones, it needs to be seen how it will fare in the market. Rumors are that the handset will be rebranded as Lenovo K15+ in some markets.
The Motorola Moto G22 will bear a 6.53-inch HD+ (720x1600 pixels) AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate and an aspect ratio of 20:9. The smartphone will feature a centrally-aligned punch-hole cut-out, a prominent bottom bezel, and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. On the rear, it will sport a quad camera unit.
Under the hood, The Motorola Moto G22 will be fueled by a yet-to-be-announced MediaTek Helio G37 processor, coupled with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. At the heart, it will run on Android 12 OS out of the box. For connectivity options, the smartphone should offer support for dual-band Wi-Fi, VoLTE, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, and a Type-C port.
In terms of optics, the Motorola Moto G22 will be equipped with a quad rear camera module comprising a 50MP main shooter, an 8MP ultra-wide snapper, a 2MP depth lens, and a 2MP macro sensor. Up front, it will have a 16MP selfie camera. The smartphone will house a 5,000mAh battery with 10W charging support.
The official pricing and availability details of the Motorola Moto G22 will be announced by the company at the time of its launch which is expected to happen in the coming weeks. However, it is likely to be priced around Rs. 15,000. The smartphone could be offered in four color options.
