Chinese tech company, Vivo has launched a new Y-series smartphone, called the Y33s 5G, in China. The phone’s price starts at CNY 1,299 (roughly Rs. 15,500) for the 4GB/128GB model. The company is yet to announce the availability of the handset in other markets. As for the highlights, it features an LCD display, a MediaTek Dimensity 700 chip, a 13MP main camera, and a 5,000mAh battery.
The Vivo Y33s 5G comes with a 6.58-inch touchscreen display. Under the hood, the handset is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 700 processor. It comes with 4GB of RAM. On the front software, the smartphone runs on Android 12 OS and is powered by a 5000mAh non-removable battery. The device supports proprietary fast charging.
As far as the cameras are concerned, the Vivo Y33s 5G on the rear packs a dual camera setup featuring a 13-megapixel primary camera, and a 2-megapixel camera. The rear camera setup has autofocus. It has a single front camera setup for selfies and video calls, featuring an 8-megapixel sensor.
At the heart, the Vivo Y33s 5G runs Origin Ocean is based on Android 12 operating system and packs 128GB of inbuilt storage that can be expanded via microSD card with a dedicated slot. The smartphone is a dual-SIM (GSM and GSM) mobile that accepts Nano-SIM and Nano-SIM cards. In terms of dimensions, the handset measures 164 x 75.9 x 8.3 mm (6.46 x 2.99 x 0.33 in).
For connectivity options, the Vivo Y33s 5G offers support for Bluetooth 5.1, dual-band Wi-Fi, 5G, and a Type-C port. Sensors on the smartphone include accelerometer, ambient light sensor, compass/ magnetometer, proximity sensor, and fingerprint sensor. The device was launched in Black, Nebula Blue, and Snow Dawn colours.
